What is the role of Functional Foods within Developing nation?

What is the role of Functional Foods within Developing nation?
"Functional food or medicinal food is any fresh or processed food claimed to have a health-promoting and/or disease-preventing property beyond the simple nutritional function of supplying nutrients, although there is no consensus on an exact definition of the residence."
"A developing country has a relatively low standard of living, an rural industrial base, and a moderate to low Human Development Index (HDI) ranking. In developing countries, there is low per capita income, comprehensive poverty, and low capital formation."
"Developing nation" is an euphemism for "ruined nation" (note that nations that are truly developing are not term "developing nations").
"Functional Foods", therefore, are any worse than useless in "Developing nations", totalling to the already heavy burden of despair, or must be redefined more simply as those foods which stave sour starvation.

WHAT IS THE RECOMMENDED DOSE OF VIAMIN b12 FOR A PERSONAGED 74?

WHAT IS THE RECOMMENDED DOSE OF VIAMIN b12 FOR A PERSONAGED 74?
Because 10-30% of older ethnic group do not absorb food-bound vitamin B12 neatly, those over 70 years of age should meet the RDA by consumption foods fortified with B12 or by taking a vitamin B12 supplement. Supplementation of 25-100 micrograms per hours of daylight has be used to maintain vitamin B12 level in dated people.
Supplementation for over 65 years of age is recommended to be 25-100 micrograms a time. However, unless one has a gastric not as much as, like antibodies that raison d`¨otre pernicious anemia, often a regular diet provides more than ample B12 in the diet. What is the propper dossage of xanax for my freight?

Im 164 lbs...What is the propper dossage of xanax for my freight?
I would not recommend Xanax for sleep unless you've tried at least 1 of the sedating antihistamines and 2 of the strange generation of prescription sleep aids, and possibly even 1 other benzodiazepine. The simple justification is that Xanax causes more physical dependence than other equally influential medications. After a few night of taking it, you will not sleep without it until you taper the dose over at lowest possible a couple weeks. On the other hand, the antihistamines are not addictive at adjectives, and the newer sleep aids are (in theory) less addictive than most benzodiazepines, of which the most addictive is... you guessed it, Xanax.
Doesn't it articulate on the prescription bottle or did it come in a baggie?
I'm not a doctor but I don't give attention to it goes by freight. It should be based on your smooth of anxiety. Check with you doctor.
eh. you can't really OD unless you bring like a fist full...

  • What is the physiology losing dehydration from brackish?

if you drink salt sea you get desiccated. but doesnt salt retains river? by osmosis if you take surrounded by alot of salt, you should be capable of keep alot of wet right? so do you pee out all the brackish and fluid from your body follows? What is the physiology losing dehydration from brackish?
    Two mechanisms:
    1) High saline intake in your gut draws hose into your gut (osmosis) which you then excrete.
    2) High saline in your blood, draws hose down into your blood = higher blood volume. Kidneys detect superior blood volume (by glomerular flow rate) and excrete excess salt + sea. Therefore a higher volume of blood = more wet excreted. Higher salt excretion = more wet following it into the kidneys and is excreted.

    Both result in dehydration
Well to be honest, you sort of answered your own interrogate...not to be sarcastic. Salt retains marine (any liquid), which dries out your body, so basically no. Taking contained by salt will do the complete different; it will dry you out. This will cause you to become more thirsty. Therefore yes, you will pee most of it out.
By increasing saline concentration water will want to follow the saline. Through principles of osmosis, concentrations want to be balanced. Hence, a elevated concentration of salt is unfavorable and marine will rush in to decline said concentration. Generally when there is a illustrious salt concentration contained by interstitial fluid (outside cells), water will move out of the cell into the intersitial fluid thus cause your cells to shrink. When the cell shrinkage occur it can lead to cell demise.
dont confuse iodize brackish with oceanic brackish.

What is the pack if fluid flaccid on a pole within hospitals?? what does it do exactly?

and also... what is the function of a ventilator which is being used by a personage that just have stroke? What is the pack if fluid flaccid on a pole within hospitals?? what does it do exactly?
The "pack of fluid" can be any of a number of things, but is most feasible an intravenous fluid. Common IV fluids are saline, lactated Ringers solution (kinda like IV Gatorade, lots of electrolytes) or D5W (sugar water). It could also be an antibiotic or some other medication that have to go IV.
The function of a ventilator is to move gas (usually nouns supplemented with oxygen) contained by and out of the lungs in a human being who cannot breathe, or is at risk of inhaling their vomit because of loss of airway reflexes following a stroke.
    Hope that help.
The clear pack is called an IV. It contains any plasma or more often Saline solution enormously similar to blood in its plane of electrolytes. It is also an easy style to make sure medicine get into the person's body in need having to grant them a new shot respectively time.
The ventillator ensures the party can continue to breath. The body desires a continual amount of oxygen to survive. We get that from breathing. If a character has have a stroke, the brain may not be able to breath generally. The ventillator makes sure they hold plenty of air within their lungs.
The fluid is intravenous which hydrates the body for those who cannot eat, it also keep the electrolytes in harmonize and sometimes it is just to save the vien open within case of the involve for antibiotics or a blood transfusion.
A ventilator breathes for the person and make sure the oxygen to the brain is suffcient.
That depends on the patient really. Its essentially an Intravenous infusion daypack. The contents can range from drugs to blood to purely plain salt water(saline). The ventilator a moment ago helps u breathe easier and to ensure proper exposure to air.

It also have significant side effects, such as hypertension, rash, multiple skin reaction and moderate to severe diarrhea.

  • What is the neurology involved within research to ride a bike?

What is the neurology involved within research to ride a bike?
There is a concept called muscle memory that explains what happen when learning to ride a bike, or any motor skill for that concern. It involves an interaction between the cerebellum and the motor areas of the cerebral cortex. Basically, movement is initiated within the frontal lobe of the cerebrum and modified/controlled by cerebellum. The more you do the action the more your brain get to work on refining the movement. And, as the action is practiced repeatedly the brain develops a sort "file" on how to do that accomplishment - muscle memory.
That's a simplified response, but it's the gist.
    neurology deals beside the brain.
And when u ride a bike u need ur brain to assist u when ur just about to fall as within reflexes.

in the intermediary stage between one awake and being asleep, it's thought that inhibitory impulse from the brain are decreased- so in essence you hold dis-inhibition. that explains all sorts of phenomemon such as those vivid dreams inhabitants sometimes get as they're any waking up or going to sleep. that just now publicized phenomenon os "sleep sex" could also be explained this way. spasms or any tonic-clonic involuntary movements while sleeping could also be explained by this dis-inhibition.
and it can also due to several neurological and biological transmitter.

  • What is the gist of piggyback infusions?

can someone explain the meaning of piggyback/ lower infusion?
thanksWhat is the gist of piggyback infusions?
Piggyback infusions are solutions or dilutions given through a inferior line. The primary queue would be the infusion directly connected to a tubing going to the the venous access. The piggyback is going through another set which tubing will be connected to the injection port of the main procession. When piggyback infusion is given, the piggyback unit is hung on an IV pole at lowest 6 inches higher than the primary container.
You enjoy a main IV infusion going--such as something as simple as middle-of-the-road saline and you need to run a second, small medication surrounded by, such a gentamycin; you get the small antibiotic purse and attach its tubing into the main IV portal at a Y and run together--essentially using the NS as a mover for the gent. Some times you have fluid precincts a patient can achieve so piggybacking is a way to minimize fluid loads. Some times the IV is acerbic and a piggyback will help dilute it. Most exalted when piggybacking is that both solutions are compatible and will not cause a precipitate. (This is one use why you can't piggyback onto blood or TPN).
a piggy back infusion mode the medicine is one given secondary to an existing infusion. some medicine need to be diluted near water for example. So if you hold an iv infusion of water already running, i would start the second medication to run surrounded by conjunction with your existing med. or piggy spinal column it.
A primary infusion would be one thats running continuously such as sodium cloride and and piggy back or secordary shoulder bag would be hung at a specific time (such as a antibiotic) for a short duration, usually a hour. The primary would kick surrounded by after the secordary is complete

What is the function of the temporal lobe of the brain? Specifically on the not here hemisphere?

Additionally, it is possoble to lose speach after a trauma to the Broca's area of the brain? What is the function of the temporal lobe of the brain? Specifically on the not here hemisphere?
The departed temporal lobe is the seat of expressive terms. A person have a VERY HIGH likelihood of losing (at least possible part) their speech and expressive language after any type of insult to the (L) temporal lobe (specifically Broca's Area), be it traumatic or related to a stroke. The remaining deficit is call Broca's Aphasia, expressive aphasia, or motor aphasia (these terms are used interchangably). If the deficit is due to a stroke affecting the middle rational artery, patients will typically have hemiplegia or hemiparesis of the RIGHT side of the body. They may also enjoy varying degrees and types of apraxia, as capably, particularly if the parietal lobe is artificial.
The temporal lobe deals next to the sound, speech comprehension and some aspects of memory. The Broca's nouns is the speech center of the brain, damage to it can wreak aphasia (difficulty in speaking).
The not here temporal lobe is where your memory is at. When I have neurosurgery a portion of my LTR was removed and and as a result I hold short term memory.

What is the function of caffeine?

What is the function of caffeine?
caffeine has effect to put on a pedestal the blood pressure and stimulate our body. it can be contained in coffee, tea and chocolate. Hence after consuming them, usually we touch stimulated and strong, we don't feel sleepy for some times.
It's used as a stimulant for rabbits that are one tested for makeup companies, much the same style as it's used to make paris hilton look smaller number of a "skank"
Caffiene is a natural psychoactive drug which you can find surrounded by in the leaves and beans of the coffee plant, surrounded by tea, yerba mate, and guarana berries, the kola nut, the Yaupon Holly, and in small quantity in cocoa. This is a Xanthine derivative alkaloid ( (3,7-dihydro-purine-2,6-dione, which is a purine foundation found in most body tissues and fluids and within other organisms). Caffeine is a central like a cat on hot bricks system (CNS) stimulant, having the effect of temporarily warding stale drowsiness and restoring alertness.
Caffeine acts through multiple mechanism involving both action on receptors and channel on the cell membrane, as well as intracellular management on calcium and cAMP pathways. By honesty of its purine structure it can act on some of impossible to tell apart targets as adenosine related nucleosides and nucleotides, approaching the cell surface P1 GPCRs for adenosine, as well as the intracellular Ryanodine receptor which is the physiological target of cADPR (cyclic ADP ribose), and cAMP-phosphodiesterase (cAMP-PDE). Although the management is agonistic in some cases, it is antagonistic within others. Physiologically, however, caffeine action is unlikely due to increased RyR gap, as it requires plasma concentration above lethal dosage. The performance is most likely through adenosine receptors.

What is the frank sparlean contraption?

i think its something to do near the medical fieldWhat is the frank sparlean contraption?
I believe you are referring to the Frank-Starling piece of equipment. It is one of the major principles astern cardiac physiology. Basically, it states that the more the muscle is stretched, the more forcefully it contracts. This is useful because it help the heart keep up beside increased physiologic demands. For example, when you exercise, your muscles use more oxygen and energy and necessitate more blood. This increases the rate at which blood is circulated through the body and results in more blood entering the heart up to that time each contraction (or heartbeat). More blood entering the heart stretches the muscle more, so it contracts more strongly and moves more blood near each overpower, helping it to keep up next to the increased demand.
That's a immensely simplified overview. If you google Frank-Starling curve (or mechanism) you can find a lot more info. Below is a correlation with some perfect info.

What is the first artery to branch from the aorta?
    Subclavian Artery
    answer here
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/aorta...
The wiki reference above doesnt provide plenty info. The subclavian isn't correct. The inital arteries departing from the mainstem aorta, immediately exiting the aortic root, are the coronoary arteries supplying the cardiac muscle itself. Hope this help, cheers.
The first arteries to branch from the ascending aorta are the coronary arteries. Whether it is the right or left may change from one body to the next.
When this sound out is asked, they are usually asking what is the first branch of the aortic arch, where it starts to bend down towards the foot. The answer to this question is the brachiocephalic artery (used to be call the innominant, or nameless artery.) The brachiocephalic next branches into the right subclavian and right common carotid arteries.
remember 1) other use right or left when answering anatomy question if there is a right or departed. 2) No two bodies are the same and in that are always variation. Things may look different inside a patient than they do within the book. A good anatomy book will administer you the most common variation also.

What is the exact process for making Medical X-Ray Films?
If u ask about physic, things are pretty complicated and near is not enough space here to explain that. Shortly, it's adjectives about a photonic flux beside certain "lambda" (that is produced into the X-ray tube), which wents through an intent. Part of the photonic particles are gripped and left photonic particle get onto some support which contains photosensitive objects. That photosensitive material is impressed by the level of the photonic particles that are getting within. That support needs to be developed so human eye can detect different "shades of gray" on the motion picture.
If u ask about technique, is verry simple: place the forgiving between the film and X-ray tube, surrounded by corect pozition (depends on what segment u intend to radiography), set the electrical parameters, lift a safe position for yourself (behind the X-ray tube or behing senior officer walls) and...push the button :).
If you want to find out how something is done (the process) search via Yahoo and use the keyword: " process " followed by anything you want to know. In this case "medical x-rays". After have read up on the 'basics' of the topic, it is likely that dependable specific questions come up and those would be excellent to discuss on YahooAnswers. What is the effect of exercise on urine output?

What are the underlying physiological mechanisms regulating this effect? What is the effect of exercise on urine output?
Exercise and sweating cause dehydration and increases the osmolality of the blood. Both of these stimuli cause retention of wet via anti-diuretic hormone. Additionally, the adrenergic output associated with exercise stimulates the renin-angiotensin axis, which cause aldosterone release, causing the kidneys to retain fluid and brackish. Urine output decreases.
probably its like wettingthe bed....make no difference
if one strains to much it could harm the prostate. as a result of recking one subdivision of this area things may not work resourcefully. if you work out try not to over do it.
sweating and therefore dehydration, can front to lesser urine output, and, that, within turn, can result in retention, if prone! but common exercise, in commonplace health, and fair compensation thro' water intake, can safeguard!
Intrepyd said it best exactly what the anatomy and physiology books would recount you.
For normal inhabitants, not much, and the measurement would be close to finding a needle surrounded by a haystack. The increased cardiac output is not going to result in a corresponding increase within urine output because there are a ton of regulating mechanism. Also, exercise causes an increased marine loss in the breath and surrounded by the skin (sweat), along with an increased thirst. Lots of confounding variables.
    exertion act as a diuretic.

What is the effect of adrenaline on blood pressure and heart rate?

What drugs can i use to characterise these effects? What is the effect of adrenaline on blood pressure and heart rate?
Adrenaline acts directly on the heart to increase the heart rate.
It also act on the blood vessels, cause vasoconstriction, and increasing blood pressure.
Epinephrine IS adrenaline, and exerts these effects.
Neosynephrine (yes, the nose spray) will rationale vasoconstriction (that's how the nose spray works) and increase blood pressure. (We use it IV contained by the OR)
Caffeine will simulate the effects of adrenaline.
(Atropine is vagolytic, and causes heart rate to walk up by a different mechanism)
    Hope that helps.
Systolic BP increases, and heart rate increases substantially.
If you want to mimic these effects, you'd want some epinephrine. (drug label for adrenaline)
Another good bet would be atropine.

What is the best and/or safest pill to whip for headache or muscle niggle, when currently on Zoloft and Xanax?

    Advil? Tylelonl? Motrin? Something else?
No jack a__ answers please! What is the best and/or safest pill to whip for headache or muscle niggle, when currently on Zoloft and Xanax?
I chose to answer this because I curently take like medications. If you are looking for a muscle or cramp nouns the best choice that works for me is Motrin. Over the counter Ibprophine works too. Headaches are a bit different though. If it is a really bad headache twinge I take Excedine Migrain. If it is the type of headache to be exact in the backbone of neck and extends into the person in charge, I use Excedrine Tension.
For the most part adjectives of them that you listed you can use. Always remember Tylenol is the "safest" Aspirin is a well-mannered "anti-inflammatory" as as Motrin. I prefer Excedrin. But if you are in doubt of any medication mixing near your anti depressants. Talk with your pharmacist.
I honestly suppose any of the ones you named would be ok to filch with Zoloft and Xanax, but if you want a professional belief - just appointment a pharmacy and ask - they'll tell you
    Good luck!
Please register neither of the two drugs that you stated are used to treat headaches and muscle distress. Zoloft (Sertraline hydrochloride) is used in the treatment of depression and Xanax (alprazolam) is a benzodiazepin drug used as a sleeping pill. I would stick to Aspirin (so long as you are sure that it is NOT a viral infection, never EVER use aspirin for viral infections as this may cause a potentially vicious condition called Reye syndrome) or Tylenol
I would recommend TYLENOL, but please check next to your doctor

Age at the time of coronary artery bypass surgery is critical to the prognosis, younger patients near no complicating diseases have a giant probability of greater longevity. The older tolerant can usually be expected to suffer further blockage of the coronary arteries.

    its not a medical thing
    its a mental point
people surmise when they are rebirthed they
can grow and change to become a different individual
    Rebirth:
regeneration of something limp or destroyed: the regeneration of something that have died or has be destroyed
    2. revival of ideas or forces: the revival of far-reaching ideas or forces, usually as subdivision of broad and significant change
    3. religion reincarnation: the accomplishment or process of reincarnation
Are you sure they didn't say afterbirth? That would be referring to the placenta which is deliver following the baby...
This will be a strange answer, I'm sure, and probably not the one you be looking for, but for me the term have a very poignant plan! You see, when I was 18 I died surrounded by a freak accident, so when I be allowed to come back and finish my vivacity, I considered that my re-birth! ( I also SWEAR that I should not be as old as I am...if I be re-born on that day, wouldn't THAT be my brand new birth-day and year? LOL)

  • What is plasmid, necessity contained by molecular cloning and what is want of artificial plasmid?

Biotechnology questionWhat is plasmid, necessity contained by molecular cloning and what is want of artificial plasmid?
next to plasmids, we get endocrine supplements (insulin), cancer drugs, vaccines, and a adjectives lot other
Plasmids serve as important tools within genetics and biochemistry labs, where on earth they are commonly used to multiply (make many copies of) or express out of the ordinary genes. Many plasmids are commercially available for such uses.
The gene to be replicated is inserted into copies of a plasmid which contains genes that make cell resistant to particular antibiotics. Next, the plasmids are inserted into microbes by a process called transformation. Then, the germs are exposed to the particular antibiotics. Only microbes which take up copies of the plasmid survive the antibiotic, since the plasmid make them resistant. In particular, the protecting genes are expressed (used to receive a protein) and the expressed protein breaks down the antibiotics. In this way the antibiotics work as a filter to select only the modified germs. Now these bacteria can be grown contained by large amounts, harvest and lysed to isolate the plasmid of interest.
Another major use of plasmids is to put together large amounts of proteins. In this overnight case, researchers grow bacteria containing a plasmid harboring the gene of interest. Just as the germs produces proteins to confer its antibiotic resistance, it can also be induced to produce large amounts of proteins from the inserted gene. This is a cheap and jammy way of mass-producing a gene or the protein it next codes for, for example, insulin or even antibiotics.
Plasmids are small DNA sequences in a circular form. They are awfully important within molecular cloning because they are small (easy to work with) and they can integrate themselves in larger DNA (such as that of a bacterium).

    What is our brain sugar?

    What is our brain sugar?
You mean glucose? We use glucose as an dash source - it is converted into ATP, which then the cell use as energy. Brain cell (neurons, astrocytes, microglial cells and ependymal cell, among other) are no different, and use ATP as energy of late like the rest of the body.
    Hope this help

The sugar most used by all organs of the body is glucose (or dextrose)
same as our body/blood glucose level....the brain's functions are very sensitive to low level of blood glucose...
The source of energy for brain is glucose, present within blood, but in the fantasy of glucose, brain accepts ketone bodies as a source of liveliness

What is mutagenesis effects and teratogenic effects of Caffeine and Paracetamol?

T_TWhat is mutagenesis effects and teratogenic effects of Caffeine and Paracetamol?
I looked it up on the magic internet. It say that caffeine has anti-mutagenic effects on cell:
    http://mutage.oxfordjournals.org/cgi/rep...
But then this one say it has both mutagenesis effects and teratogenic effects:
    http://science.jrank.org/pages/1115/caff...
This website say: "In the MTA, even with 200 micrograms/ml caffeine, the toxicological parameter obtained by proliferation and differentiation assays of the midbrain and member bud cells be almost the same as contained by the control. In conclusion, caffeine induced various morphological anomalies, but did not affect proliferation or differentiation of cell in these experimental systems."
    from
    http://grande.nal.usda.gov/ibids/index.p...
As for paracetamol, this website say that although paracetamol can cross the placenta, no tetatogenic effects have be observed in mice, up to 250mg/kg:
    http://www.sanofi-aventis.com.au/product...
Apparently, it can hold mutagenetic effects, however. One website says: "Paracetamol inhibits replicative DNA synthesis and induces sister chromatid exchange and chromosomal aberration by inhibition of ribonucleotide reductase", this is from

What is more Rewarding - A Oncologist or a Burn Surgeon ?

Every know, I would like to become a doctor, but what is more rewarding, agree to me explain:
Burn Surgeon: Is a Surgeon who help someone cosmetically, emotionally, physically and mentally. People take burn everyday from a Small Fire to a Big Shock. I don't want to be a Truma Burn Surgeon, I would not like to that, more similar to complete skin grafts after the repairs and stuff approaching that. So this might me a nice job.

Oncologist: A Oncologist is a Doctor of Medicine (MD) which specialize within cancers and tumors, you enjoy a medical, surgical, or radiation Oncologist, I most likely to become any surgical or medical oncologist.
From info given what is more rewarding ?What is more Rewarding - A Oncologist or a Burn Surgeon ?
    It is a personal choice.
That depends on YOU. Personally, I couldn't stand to do either.
It's is COMPLETELY POINTLESS to agonize over specialty and sub-specialty choices unless you are finishing medical institution and are looking for a residency. Really.
Also, depending on how well you do surrounded by medical school, your choices may be controlled. Some specialties are very competitive.
Another piece regarding oncology. You will have need of to decide whether you are a medical type soul or a surgical type person. They are hugely different animals. THEN you can think roughly sub-specialties.

What is minimum distance from x-ray technition to x-ray tube?
    Hey mr.answerman:
The 3 cardinal rules of radiation protection are time, distance and shielding. Distance does make a big difference.
As far as the cord will allow?
An X-ray tech is not protected by distance. A tech is protected by a organize wall, and can view the lenient through a lead chalice.
JessiesGirl has it right on, contained by fact distance greatly affects the exposure one recieves.
    See 'The Inverse Square Law'
"The intensity (or illuminance or irradiance) of wispy or other linear waves radiating from a point source (energy per element of area erect to the source) is inversely proportional to the square of the distance from the source so an object (of alike size) twice as far away, receives individual 1/4 the energy (in one and the same time period)." (source = http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/inverse-squ...
While there is no set surrounded by stone minimum that I know of, techs usually follow the ALARA Principle, "As Low As Reasonably Achievable". see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/alara...
That is to say as much distance as you can and still ensure a standard diagnostic image. (Being close by for an unstable tolerant, within verbs to visualize motion or other disparities, etc.)
It is 6 feet, but they say aloud never assume any distance is safe
yes! it is the inverse square ruling. the best shield for radiation is distance. as you get farther away the photons from the x-ray enfeeble and are less hazardous. the recommended distance is 6 feet and explicitly the distance of the cords!
    6 ft.

    Context:
    -pulsed release
    - sustained release
    - timed release
    - immediate releaseWhat is it intended by "pulsed release" contained by medicine/drug context?
Pulse released mechanism that boluses are released in the blood stream over time. It is not a steady concentration of the agent contained by the blood stream, but the drug is released in boluses every partially hour or hour. Certain hormones will work better when released this way, it more closely duplicates how the hormone is essentially released in the body.
Sustained release money that a constant steady supply is released over time giving an even and steady concentration of the drug in the blood stream. An example is Oxycontin. This drug is released over hours by the abdication system. The blood level doesn't draw from very glorious but it is released over hours.
Timed released means that it is not released right away when you ingest the medication but the delivery system will nick a while before the drug is released. Usually, timed released meds count on the effect of the stomach acids to dissolve some coating past the drug can be released.
Sustained drug release aims to maintain a constant drug even within the body, pulsed drug confinement intends to release the drug rapidly inwardly a short period of time, as a result of a biological or external trigger, or after a specific wad time. In timed release drugs, the product is released after a certain time, or over a spot on period of time while within immediate release the product is released promptly.

Yes, and no--they are usually called "sugar pills" because they are made from things close to sugar. Usually it is something like lactose, salep (a product from a root), starches, maltodextrin...
However, here is for a time blurb about a conspiracy guess about placebo's:
"The certainty is, drug companies make their own placebo pills for research purposes, and for respectively individual study they create a unique placebo formula - sometimes including ingredients that game ingredients in the drugs mortal tested. But the contents of placebos are never revealed.
Does that sound “inert” or “inactive” to you? Suddenly the belief of a “sugar pill” doesn’t seem so innocent anymore."

Normally we use sutures to hold two things together (the two edges of an incision, two blood vessel, two loops of bowel etc) or to tie off something (a bleeding blood vessel). A stay suture is used to hold or falsify the structure we're operating on. It's purpose is temporary and once we finish working on that organ or structure we would usually remove the stay suture (although it usually does no harm to check out of it in place). For Instance, when doing a gastrojejunostomy I approaching to put two stay sutures to hold the stomach and jejunum in alignment. I also use stay sutures while doing a splenorenal shunt to hold on to control over the edges of the opening surrounded by the renal vein within case the vascular clamp should slip. There are, as expected, many other situations where on earth they are used.
A suture is a surgical seam.
Stay sutures are very huge sutures or stitches used in PS to smaller skin sutures. After surgery, they attach underlying tissues of fat and muscle as economically as skin and are used to support incisions in obese individuals or when curative may be prolonged. The sutures are frequently left surrounded by place fourteen to twenty-one days.
